How AurexionLabs compares

These are good tools, and several of them start free. For each one, this page says what it does and who should choose it, and it sets out how AurexionLabs differs as a whole system. The facts about each platform come from its own site, read on 6 November 2026.

QuantConnect and its LEAN engine

What it is: QuantConnect calls itself "an open-source, community-driven algorithmic trading platform" and a cloud platform for quant research and trading. Its LEAN CLI provides notebooks, backtesting, optimization and live trading with a simple to use API, deploying to the cloud or on-premises. Strategies can be written in Python or C#, and the free plan includes data, crypto included, with "Unlimited Backtesting". Live trading is listed for cryptocurrencies and futures via Bybit, and for cryptocurrencies via Kraken.

Choose it if: you want a cloud platform with a free plan that includes crypto data, and you want to write in Python or C#.

How AurexionLabs differs: AurexionLabs runs on your own machine, as QuantConnect's local platform does. AurexionLabs covers three layers of strategy, from how to trade a coin to which coins to trade and how portfolios share an account. Every live entry is sent with its stop-loss attached, and an entry without a stop is refused before it reaches the exchange. Live trading is on Bybit perpetual futures today. Hyperliquid and Kraken are next, then OKX.

NautilusTrader

What it is: NautilusTrader is "an open-source, production-grade, Rust-native trading engine infrastructure for multi-asset, multi-venue trading systems." You write strategy logic in Python on a Rust-native core, or build entire trading systems in pure Rust. It offers one engine for research, backtesting, and live trading. Its integrations list Bybit and Kraken. Its Pro tier is on a waitlist, and its Cloud Platform is in development.

Choose it if: you want open-source engine infrastructure, with strategy logic in Python or Rust, and Bybit or Kraken among your venues.

How AurexionLabs differs: AurexionLabs puts coin selection and portfolios on one account in the same system as live trading. The stop-loss and take-profit orders rest at the exchange, so they remain there if your connection drops or your machine restarts.

Freqtrade

What it is: Freqtrade is "a free and open source crypto trading bot written in Python, designed to support all major exchanges and be controlled via Telegram or builtin Web UI." You can test a strategy with simulated money in Dry-Run mode, or deploy it with real money in Live-Trade mode. Its futures exchanges include Binance, Bitget, Bybit, Gate, Hyperliquid, Kraken and OKX. Its documentation covers Backtesting and Hyperopt (parameter optimisation).

Choose it if: you want a free, open-source crypto bot in Python, controlled from Telegram or a web page.

How AurexionLabs differs: AurexionLabs picks coins with a selector each day, from a universe of coins you choose, and it can run several portfolios on one account. Paper trading runs on live market data, with shared paper accounts so several strategies can size off one balance. The stop-loss and take-profit orders rest at the exchange, so they remain there if your connection drops or your machine restarts.

Backtrader

What it is: Backtrader describes itself as "a feature-rich Python framework for backtesting and trading". Its repository calls it a "Live Trading and backtesting platform written in Python." It is licensed under GPL-3.0. Its live trading documentation covers Interactive Brokers and Oanda.

Choose it if: you want a Python framework under the GPL-3.0 licence, with live trading through Interactive Brokers or Oanda.

How AurexionLabs differs: AurexionLabs backtests replay the market one event at a time, in time order, using raw ticks or bars built from real trades. A backtest cannot see the future. A stop the market gapped past fills at the next real tick, and slippage applies from there. A trading idea you found in Python can be described to the assistant, which rebuilds it as a C# strategy you can read, backtest on ticks and run live.

TradingView

What it is: TradingView's home page reads "Where the world does markets." It has a free plan alongside paid plans. Its plans list strategy backtesting, deep backtesting, simulated (paper) trading and trading through selected brokers. Its strategies are written in Pine Script®.

Choose it if: you want charts and strategy scripts in Pine Script, with a free plan to start.

How AurexionLabs differs: AurexionLabs runs on your own machine, and its backtests replay the market one event at a time, in time order. Spread and slippage come from the ticks, even on 1-minute bars, and a backtest is still a simulation. On paper and live, several portfolios run at once, one per account.

Quantower

What it is: Quantower describes itself as "a multi-asset & multi-connect trading platform for any trader and free to start", and it is a Windows application. It offers an "Open C# API for custom features development" and trading automation with algo-strategies. Its connections page lists Bybit among its 60+ connections, which include brokers, crypto exchanges and data feeds. It starts from a "totally FREE limited version", with paid licences.

Choose it if: you trade on Windows and want a multi-asset platform with many connections and an open C# API for custom features.

How AurexionLabs differs: The AurexionLabs engine is native Linux and runs without a screen. Every live entry is sent with its stop-loss attached, and an entry without a stop is refused before it reaches the exchange. Live trading is on Bybit perpetual futures today. Hyperliquid and Kraken are next, then OKX.

StockSharp

What it is: StockSharp describes itself as an "open source platform for algorithmic trading", with "Algorithmic trading for .NET and Python." It lists "389 + connectors" across exchanges, brokers and crypto. Its site also reads "S#.Designer · backtest · optimize · go live". It has a free version and paid options.

Choose it if: you want an open-source platform for .NET or Python with a large set of connectors and a free version to start with.

How AurexionLabs differs: AurexionLabs puts coin selection and portfolios on one account in the same system as live trading. The AurexionLabs engine is native Linux and runs without a screen.
